Bar and VENUE MANAGER
OVERVIEW
As the Bar and Venue Manager at COLAB Tower - and immersive theatre venue in London Bridge. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of both our bar and performance venues. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating logistical aspects of productions, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of our bar and performance spaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Venue Management:
Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless execution of performances in various venues.
Manage all aspects of venue logistics, including setup, technical requirements, and liaising with venue staff.
Keep facilities tidy and manager clean teams.
Ensure the venue is running smoothly for everyone that enters.
Bar Management:
Ensure that the bar is staffed at all time.
In control of all ordering of stock.
Ensuring the facilities are adequate and being maintained properly.
Programming the cabaret stage.
Administrative Tasks:
Oversee general office operations, including reception, office supplies, and maintenance of equipment.
Handle scheduling, reservations, and inquiries related to both the office and performance venues.
Budget Management:
Assist in budget planning and monitoring for venue-related expenses.
Team Support:
Support the needs of production teams, performers, and other staff during rehearsals and performances.
Collaborate with the artistic and production teams to address any venue-specific requirements.
Ensure that the space is organised and suitable for occupation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Proven experience in venue management, preferably in the performing arts or events industry.
And/or proven experience in bar management, preferably in an immersive theatre context.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Being sightly handy is essential - being able to fix little things is important.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with budget management and cost control.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
A love for theatre!
REQUIRMENTS:
We often hire on attitude rather than skill as we are a strong believer of training people up. Many of our employees go onto very high-profile jobs after being with us which we’re quite proud of. Term: 6-12month contract
Fee: £36,000pa

HOURS
Hours are flexible however the candidate must be able to do 40 hours per week.
This role is generally an evening role.
Preferred hours: 12:00 – 21:00 – Tuesday – Saturday.
Additional hours – any potential late-night events. These are booked in advance and do not need to be covered by the Venue Manager however you will be responsible for making sure they are staffed. You will be reimbursed for any additional hours.
PAY
The pay is £36,000 per annum paid monthly as a self employed contract fee. PAYE options are available for long term employees however the first 6months will be a contract.

OVERVIEW
COLAB Theatre is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Show Manager to join our innovative and collaborative team for the shows that will be taking place in COLAB Tower in London Bridge and other venues. As a Show Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of our theatrical productions, ensuring a memorable and positive experience for both the show team, and audiences. This position requires a passion for the arts, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate various aspects of live performance. To understand the role, it is essentially a production manager and technical manager rolled into one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate and liase with the creative team, performers and production crew to meet production goals. This also includes coordinating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to secure materials and services.
Manage and coordinate all aspects of show logistics, including rehearsals and performances.
Being able to work with innovative technologies to create the best performance possible - we have an R&D budget in COLAB for integrating new technologies into shows.
LX - being about to rig and programme basic DMX for the performances.
AV - being able to rig and programme basic sound and visual elements for the performances.
Risk Assess a space suitable for the activities within.
Logistical Planning:
Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule, ensuring all elements are executed on time and within budget. And keeping on top of operations on and off stage during performances.
Oversee resources such as budget, time, space. And correctly distribute these between departments.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead production staff, including stagehands, ushers, and other support personnel. Foster a positive working environment, to promote effective teamwork.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
Conduct regular evaluations during the rehearsal and performance process. Resolve any issues to ensure a high-quality, and safe, experience. When required, implementing contingency plans to handle unforeseen challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
6months+ of experience in production management within theatre.
A Degree or experience within a technical role within a theatre or event space.
Ability to rig lights, sound and other equipment safely.
Ability to programme DMX.
Knowledge of the technical aspects of theatre productions.
Strong organisation, communication and multi-tasking skills.
Experience Managing Budgets.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
